An Update

Stormont may have stopped working, but I haven't.

The political impasse at Stormont has dragged on for over 18 months. The people of Strangford are frustrated at the DUP and Sinn Fein's inability to actually get together and get some work done. While they continue to squabble and bicker, I've been working hard for everyone in my constituency.

These emails are to give you a little update on the work I've been doing for you, read on to see some of the stuff I did in June.

First of all, some sad news

David Ford announced his retirement at the end of June. David was leader when I joined the party and his courage and compassion were always an inspiration. We'll miss him but he's left the party in capable hands with Naomi as leader and Stephen as Deputy Leader. I wish him and Anne well in retirement!

CFC Foodbank celebrates three years at Newtownards Tesco

I think it's a real shame that we live in a society where people are forced to use Foodbanks, but sometimes people fall on hard times and the work CFC do to provide a safety net is brilliant. If you need Foodbank vouchers you can contact my office for help.

Love is love is love!

I joined my Alliance Party colleagues in Londonderry at a rally to call for same sex marriage to be introduced in Northern Ireland.

Children with Special Education Needs must not be left behind

I sponsored a meeting of three All Party Groups to discuss the provision of Special Education Needs in Northern Ireland. It's vital we listen to children and families. Find out more here

Working hard all year round, for you.

As your local MLA, there are a lot of different issues I can help with. Below is a breakdown of the different cases that are being dealt with by my office. If you need help, please don't hesitate to contact me.
